Wimbledon relaxes all-white clothing rules for women players

The rules on the Wimbledon Championships have changed for the third season running.
The All-White Contest will now be taking place on the Centre Court starting July 9.
As a result, all-white outfits have been allowed to play out in the public.
Wimbledon chief executive Richard Lewis said the change was made to help increase crowd numbers and make a “festival of sport”.
The tournament is expected to become a bigger draw with an extra $2 million on offer.
“We didn’t want to take away from the All-White Contest or give the All-White Contest the chance to gain even more popularity,” Lewis said.
“But we realised that given the history of the All-White Contest and the fact that Wimbledon attracts such significant crowds every year and given the increasing popularity of tennis in Britain, we needed to adapt the rules and
