Officers responded to reports of a shooting at 5 p.m. Dec. 7 in the 4500 block of E. Imperial Avenue, near the overpass at Imperial Avenue and the 405 Freeway.
When officers arrived, they saw a man collapsed on west bound Imperial Avenue and believed that it was a homicide that had occurred earlier in the day.
The man was taken to a hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
Detectives were assigned to investigate the crime, which is under the jurisdiction of the LAPD’s Homicide Division.
The investigation led to the arrest of Matthew Giorgi, 31, and Nicholas Giorgi, 28, both of Los Angeles.

On Monday, police took the brothers into custody without incident. The investigation is ongoing.
On Dec. 7 around 5 p.m., a man was found unconscious in the parking lot of a home in the 4500 block of N. Imperial Avenue, near the 405 Freeway.
Police responded to the scene because a man had been found unconscious at the home in the area, according to the LAPD.
The man was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
Detectives were assigned to investigate the crime. The investigation led to the arrest of two brothers.
