Rafael Nadal reveals the lessons he has learned from his greatest rival

‘An important part of my life is leaving too,’ says emotional Rafael Nadal

This season, Rafael Nadal has won his 14th Grand Slam title, the most of any male player. Not even Novak Djokovic is close to equalling that record.

This is Rafael Nadal’s third career Grand Slam, having first won at Wimbledon in 2006. Not since Bjorn Borg in 1982 have two players have won the same amount of Grand Slams.

Nadal, 48, has now reached 10 Premier League titles, along with five French Open crowns and five US Open titles.

He and wife Nadia broke ground by marrying at the end of 2012 – and they have now been married for 11 years.

On his wedding night, Nadal said: ‘I couldn’t believe I was actually doing it. I don’t know how I managed to do it. The emotions were so strong.’

As Nadal looks back on his career, he reveals the key lessons he has learnt from his greatest rival.
