Ashanti debunks Irv Gotti’s ‘relationship’ claims: ‘He never tells the full story’
An explosive new “relationship” documentary claims that rapper Irv Gotti once had a love affair with his former wife, the late Aja Wilson. The film, however, doesn’t come close to claiming that he had a relationship with Wilson or with the late Aja’s daughter, Aja Wilson, who now lives in New York.
The film’s director, Dinesh D’Souza, recently appeared on “Larry King Live” and spoke about the film. He began by calling the project “a fascinating and important piece,” noting that “no one has ever even tried to connect the dots” between Wilson, Gotti and the late Aja Wilson.
D’Souza said: “It seems like [Gotti] was able to live a happy life for a very long time, but then he just seemed to vanish.”
During the interview he told King: “I want to make the case that he could not live with Wilson’s daughter. Gotti was not interested in being with her. I have an argument here that’s very different. Gotti could not live with the daughter because he was cheating on Aja.”
He admitted that he had “no idea” where the allegations that he was having a relationship with the late Aja Wilson and her daughter could be true. “I don’t know about any relationship,” he told King.
“He never lets me film the interviews,” D’Souza told reporters in Los Angeles. “I have to film it all. I have no control over the interview. I don’t have control over the questions I ask. I don’t have control over the questions he answers. It doesn’t matter.”
In an exclusive interview with RadarOnline.com, Gotti’s ex-wife, the late Aja Wilson, says that she never spoke to Gotti about his alleged relationship with her.
Aja also says that she and Gotti never had a serious relationship but had a “few dates” and shared Christmas presents and gifts.
“There is no way he would tell me that he had a relationship with me when we were together,” she told the website.
