They made good money but left L.A. because it didn’t go far enough. Will they return?
L.A. is the most exciting place on the globe to be. This is how one of its fans described it.
I am an American transplant to Los Angeles. I lived in Los Angeles when I was 19, I’ve been to LA once or twice. I have two years of college left. I’m single, I don’t do drugs, I wear a suit to work every day, I wear Birkenstock slippers in the evenings, I drink water.
I work at a small company that makes low-end computer monitors, and I’m the only part-time person there, so I do everything. I work on that, and then I do what I want next. I love working with my hands, and I want to spend every hour of every day working on new products. I want to work for someone who is an artist, like myself.
I do not like being in LA, and I do not like seeing LA. I don’t like the look of what LA seems to look like. It’s dirty, dark, dirty and dark. I don’t like the traffic. I hate the people that I have met in a small office. They’re weirdos and they are always drunk, and they think they’re being ironic. I don’t like the kind of people you hang out with in L.A. They can have sex with each other and not even have a conversation about it. I just want to escape that life.
I don’t like that I live in one of the most expensive cities in the world. I have to worry about rent and gas and food. I don’t know who to trust. I don’t want to be a slave to an employer. I don’t want to live in a house like an old person. I like to buy things, and I like to go out with people who don’t make me feel like a servant. I want to live the life of a woman who feels equal to both men and women.
I love the ocean. I love the beach. I love the mountains. I want to go to a new city every year, and I want to go to the same country every year. I want to see the same cities every year in different parts of Japan and the
