Selena Gomez cancels ‘Tonight Show’ appearance after contracting COVID-19
New York City-based Gomez, 26, had been scheduled to perform her upcoming live concert in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, after contracting the virus, Gomez cancelled the appearance at Madison Square Garden in New York on Thursday.
The “Honey” singer did not provide details on how she contracted the virus.
She posted a photo of herself on Twitter, writing, “I am soooo sorry!!!. I have been dealing with this coronavirus for 2.5 months and am just not doing so well. I don’t know if I can get out of bed but I will try.”
The singer has postponed several new tour dates in the US and Canada in order to focus on fighting the virus and dealing with personal matters.
