Review: Style and great supporting players make ‘Black Adam’ forgettably entertaining in the lead up to the season finale
The Black Adam spin-off is at its best when it’s got the right supporting casts
The season finale of Black Adam is a great showcase for the show’s strengths, and a chance to give the rest of the franchise the final push it needs.
Even if you didn’t get the chance to catch the spin-off’s season-two finale, the finale of Black Adam was the perfect opportunity to get caught up on the season that preceded it.
The final episode of season three, The Warlord, was a master class in delivering a single storyline in a way that can be seen in different ways. The show doesn’t really do multi-episode stories, so this is the perfect opportunity for one to be told, especially one where the supporting cast features a wealth of talent.
It’s always nice to see more women in the show (and there were more this year), and it’s especially satisfying to see the supporting female cast take on a lead.
The character of Eve is a complex human being, and she is the perfect protagonist for a spin-off that brings the characters around her to life.
The finale is a perfect showcase for the kind of drama that fans will enjoy throughout the season, and it also shows that there are still ways to make the show better.
There are some things that still need to be addressed in the series, but there’s plenty to look forward to in the immediate future.

Season 3 of Black Adam is still a good series, but the last season saw the show fall off a cliff as the new actors and writers began to deliver on the promise of Black Adam’s second season. This season the spin-off has pulled back slightly, but the episodes are still good enough to make the season worth returning for.
